யாழ்ப்பாணம் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் “Communication and Media Studies” தனித்துறையாக உள்ளது. முப்பது நாற்பது ஆட்கள் வருடம்தோறும் pass out ஆகிறார்கள். அவர்களில் அனேகர் ( எல்லாருமல்ல) பார்த்துப் பிழையாகவாசிப்போர் தான்… பொது அறிவு மருந்துக்கும் கிடையாது…..25 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு யாழ்ப்பாணம் பல்கலைக் கழகத்தில் படித்து மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளர் பதவிக்கு நியமனம்பெற்று வந்த ஒரு அலுவலர் அதேவேளை இலங்கை தமிழரசுக் கட்சியின் அக்காலத்தில் தமிழர் ஐக்கிய விடுதலை முன்னணி ( TULF – Tamils United Liberation Front)…. மூத்த முக்கியஸ்த்தர் ஒருவரின் நெருங்கிய உறவினர் கையில் ஒரு ஆங்கிலக் கடிதத்தை கையில் வைத்துக் கொண்டு….. சிரேஸ்ட அலுவலர் ஒருவரைப் பார்த்து….” சேர்( ஒரு Chief Clerk) ! TULF என்றாலென்ன” என்று கேட்கிறார். அவர் உரிய ஆங்கில விரிவாக்கத்தைச் சரியாக தெளிவாகச் சொல்கிறார்.( அவர் பின்னர் SLOS சேவைப்பரீட்சையில் சித்தியடைந்து மத்திய கிழக்கிலும் கிழக்காசியாவிலும் பணியாற்றியவர்…அவர் SLOS சித்தியடைந்த போது பட்டதாரியல்ல)
அந்த பட்டதாரி அலுவலர் லிவ்கோ ஆங்கில- தமிழ் அகராதியைப் புரட்டி புரட்டி மொழிபெயர்த்து TULF ஐ ” தமிழர் ஐக்கிய விடுதலை நிதியம்” எனமொழிபெயர்த்துக் கொடுத்தார்….அந்த Chief Clerk கொல்லென்று சிரித்துவிட்டு உரிய திருத்தங்களை மேற்கொண்டார்…..

அதாவது சமூக பிரக்ஞையும் தேடலும் வாசிப்பும் அறவே அற்றசமூகம் கால் நூற்றாண்டுக்கு முன்பே உருவாகத் தொடங்கிவிட்டது. உருவாகியவர்களில் பிழை இல்லை….பாடசாலைகளிலும் பல்கலைக் கழகங்களிலும் படிப்பித்த படிப்பிக்கும் ஆசிரியர்களில்தான் பிழை…. இந்த விறுத்தத்தில் கோட்டு சூட்டு ரை கட்டி படம் வேறு fb இல்…..
சம கால jokes பல உண்டு. நான் யாழ். கல்வித் திணைக்களத்தில் வேலைசெய்த காலத்தில்( 19 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு) கல்விப் பணிப்பாளர் கரவெட்டி செல்வரட்ணம் ( காலமாகிவிட்டார்) ஆசிரியர்களுக்கான பதவி உயர்வுக்கான ஒரு interview board இல் தலைவர். அமரர் செல்வரட்ணம் கந்தரோடை Skanda இல் ஒறேற்றர் சுப்ரமணியம் அதிபராக இருந்த காலத்தில்படித்தவர். ஒரு கொதியன்….ஆனால் நல்ல பகிடிகள் விடுவார். Basically அவர் ஒரு strict and duty minded பேர்வழி !அவர் ஆண், பெண் ஆசிரியர்கள் அனைவரிடம் “What has brought you to this interview ? ” என்ற கேள்வியைக் கேட்டார். அனேகமான ஆண் ஆசிரியர்கள் ” By motorbike ” என்றும் அனேகமான பெண் ஆசிரியைகள் ” Husband ” என்றும்பதிலளித்தனராம். இவர்களில் பாடசாலைகளில் ஆங்கிலம் படிப்பிக்கும் சிலரும் இருந்தனர். அத்துடன் 95% பேர் யாழ்ப் பல்கலைக் கழகத்தில் கற்றோர். அதுமட்டுமல்ல English medium த்தில் பட்டப்படிப்பை நிறைவுசெய்தோர். இவர்கள்போன்றவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர்(சமூக அக்கறையும் மொழிப்புலமையும் தேடலும் வாசிப்பும் நிறைந்த பொது அறிவுமுள்ளவர்கள் சிலர் உள்ளனர். நான் அவர்களைப் போற்றி வணங்குகிறேன்) இன்று உயர் நிலைக் கல்வி நிர்வாகிகள் வடக்கில்….
இவர்களின் கல்வி நிர்வாகத்தில் படித்து விட்டு….யாழ் பல்கலையில் பட்டதாரி களாக…… வெளியேறும் ஊடகவியலாளர்களை, தாங்கள் சமூகம் , உலகம் அடியுண்டதாகச் சொல்லும் ஊடக முதலாளிகளான புலம்பெயர் ஜாம்பவான்களும் திருத்திச் செப்பனிடுவதில்லை….. ( அவர்களுக்கு வேறு கனக்கச் சோலி சுரட்டுக்கள்…..)

இவ்விடங்களின் மனித ஆளணியில்பெரும்பாலோர் எப்படியான உற்பவிப்புக்கள் ?
